Can You Study Medicine Without IMAT?

Short answer: No.
The IMAT score is the only metric used to rank candidates for admission to English-taught medical schools in Italy.

IMAT test centers are available both inside and outside Italy, covering various countries such as the UK, USA, India, China, Turkey, Germany, France, and more.

If you choose a test center in Italy, note that you must sit the exam at the university listed as your first preference during registration.

Registration and Deadlines

  • IMAT Registration: Takes place on Universitaly.it, where candidates select their university preferences and pay the exam fee.
  • Exam Locations Announcement: Test venues are confirmed in June, while exact addresses are shared at the end of August.

Be cautious—popular venues can fill up quickly, especially in countries like Turkey, UAE, India, and Brazil.

How to Prepare for the IMAT?

  1. Understand the Syllabus:
